    Dear teachers,

Would you be kind enough to tell me whether I am right with my rephrasing of the following sentences?

3.1. He picked up much information during his travel.
3.2. He learned a good deal during his travel.
3.3. He collected a lot of information during his travel.
4.1. He is bright. He will pick up it easily.
4.2. He is bright. He will catch up it easily.
4.3. He is bright. He will learn it easily.
5.1. Things are sure to take a turn for the better.
5.2. Things are sure to improve.
6.1. He will realize his mistake in the long run.
6.2. He will realize his mistake eventually.
    7. 1. I tried hard to overcome the feeling of resentment.

    Thank you for your efforts.

For 4.2, you can say that he will "catch up easily", but you would only use it if he had fallen behind in something.

For 5.2, you cannot say that something will "take an improve". Just say that "things are sure to improve".

Your sentences, 4 - 7, sound very 'natural' - (alex_no_andra makes a note about "catch up easily"). You might consider, for 1-3:

The farm was run (with great efficiency)/very efficiently.
1.2. The farm was managed (with great efficiency)/very efficiently.

'with great efficiency' sounds like the legal tone of a Royal Commission into farming practices, and referring to one exemplary farm.

2.1. The matter (must) needs be thrashed out.
2.2. The matter must be discussed in detail.
2.3. The matter (must) needs to be talked over with....

'picked up' is not 'formal', so the sentence could be less 'formal':
3.1. He picked up (much) considerable/ a lot of information during his travels.
3.2. He learned a good deal during his travels.
3.3. He collected a lot of information during his travels.
    compare
"...during his travel around the Middle-East."
