Default what is difference meaning between the words of stage and phase?

what is different meaning between stage and phase?

Examples in below show that they are interchangeable:

1>The experinment is divied into three stages.
2>The experinment is divided into three phases.

Can anyone tell me different between those two words with examples?

The simple answer is that there is no difference in meaning.
However, specific usage sometimes differs. For example, there are three stages of pregnancy; there are three phases of drug trials.
You can only learn these specific uses through experience.
