    Question nauseating vs disgusting

And it is the self-pity which is so nauseating. She wrote a ludicrous, self-serving, self-justifying piece in The Times, effectively protesting that she was only being victimised because she was a working mum.

What is the difference between 'nauseating' and 'disgusting'? Is 'nauseating' more formal?

    Thank you!

    It is rather stronger.

Something that is "nauseating" makes you feel like vomiting. It induces nausea.

Something that is disgusting is not to your taste.
