Does this instrument have a special name?

    Hi,

Don't know if this is the right place to ask this questions but

Could somebody please tell me if this instrument has a special name in English?
a kind of advanced (camera?) for watching far distances.

    Thanks.

Mmmmm, Don't think so, I mean not as far distances as a telescope looks. Just enough to look from a window of a building in to another building and see what goes on there.

Oh, I misunderstood and thought he wanted an instrument to measure distances, not overcome them.
