    Default Need advice on the use of Conditionals, thanks teachers!

    Dear teachers,

    If a question ask:

    Would you like to be as clever as Einstein? Why/Why not?

    When giving reason, should we use zero conditional or second conditional as in: If I am so clever, I can do any jobs I like.

    If I am wrong in answering the above question, how should I answer it? What tense should I use?

    Personally, I would choose type two. It seems to me that type zero is used when conveying unquestionable truths. Given that this question is hypothetical, I would go with the somewhat "loose" type two. It would ultimately depend on the context, though...
