    Default Searching for a saying

Hey all, today when I was reading a novel, some whim of thought suddenly crossed my mind... I remember there is some English saying which tells a man who had this weird dream and lived happily in it for a couple of days but when he woke up actually hundreds of years had passed... All his family were dead and the village was totally changed...

Can anyone please tell me what the exact saying is? Or what is the name of that man...?

Thanks very much. I think we have a Chinese version of this story as well. Would love to share.

    Sarah :-)

    Dear Alpha:

It is a short story, written in the early 1800's, by the American author Washington Irving.

    Best wishes,

    Petra
