commands on your keyboard in order to get a specific action from the computor

    Hi!
Ive got an urgent question about a word. Here is a description of it:
Its when you use commands (use multiple keys ) on your keyboard in order to get a specific action from the computer. For example: ctrl-alt-delete to get the task manager or ctrl-c to copy something.
What is such a command called in english?

    With kind regards
    Cecilia

I was wondering if I was on the right forum and had hit my macuser forum instead. :)
According to my iBook manual this ability is properly a 'keyboard command'. Is this what you are referring to?
