    HERE ARE 2 SENTENCES. PLEASE TELL ME WHICH ONE IS CORRECT.

    You can now store files without the worry of misplacing them.

    You can now store files without worrying about misplacing them.

    AND PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY.

    Both are okay. 'without' is preposition and what follows has to be nominal.
    'worry' is the head of the noun phrase, the object of the preposition, and is nominal; the gerund 'worrying' is nominal too.
