    Default past participle

I don't know how to find the past participle for various words. I know that it is required to add a helping verb, but how do you know which helping verb to add if you are only given the verb to work with (it is not in the context of a sentence). Here is an example of what I am doing:

    Present Tense: hurt
    Present participle: hurting
    Past Tense: hurt
    Past participle: ???

    Default Re: past participle

For the past participle of hurt say has been hurt. Example:
She has been hurt in similar situations, so she avoids such entanglements now.
