    Default tell/told

    Hi

    "He couldn't have met her and tell her ..." I think it should be "tell" not "told"? In the first part of the sentence I used "have met" but I think it doesn't mean that I should use "told" in the second part?

    You are confusing two tenses. Told is correct.
