    Question English accents

If there are two people, one with a British accent and the other with a standard regional accent (eg-standard Sri Lankan accent) ,
who can reach out more to a global audience and impress the listeners more,
    and if so why?

For me both are okay. Firstly, You cannot force somebody else out from yourself. Be proud of who you are . If the person can speak mostly like a native speaker, it will be an advantage for him. But for me it doesn't matter, at least the accent is still within an understandable range. You still can impressed others with usage of idioms, and so forth. Let's imagine this, someone can imitate British accent but his/her grammar and structures are horrible? Now, which one is better?

I don't know about others. But for me, both are definitely fine

There are also many regional British accents, some of which can be hard for people not from the region to understand.

Would it be possible to post a link to a audio or video file as an example?
