    Default Capitals

    Hello Support,

Is there anyone who can explain why the capitals and italics in my replies are reversed by the software and, more importantly, what I can do to fix it.
I have tried adding something original before I type in the quoted box; I have tried fixing the posts in preview mode, but the formatting that shows up in preview mode is not what I end up with.
I can remember that there was at least one other teacher who was complaining about this a few months ago.
It's embarrassing, since I make it a point to correct the punctuation of learners, but the software won't accept my own punctuation.

PS: It only happens when I make comments in a quoted box. I'd prefer not to have to stop doing this.

I had a similar problem about 3 hours ago, but it seems to be ok now.

Could you please try posting an example in this thread? It might help if you attach before-and-after screenshots of what you intend to write and how you see it in the completed post, just so I can start understanding what might be happening.

I have to say I've not once once seen this happen in the seven years the forum's been running, so it will be an interesting challenge.

certainly. Not a problem at all! I hope it proves to be useful.

I've tried changing my editor setting from Enhanced WYSIWYG to Standard editor - no difference.

Support, I don't know if this helps at all, but at home I have used Chrome, Opera and Firefox on Linux and have just tried IE and Firefox with Windows XP and I couldn't reproduce it.
