I think A, is the most appropriate answer here.
    1. If you look at the context there...

"Itís been a wonderful evening.Thank you very much" (It showed that this person wants to say thank you. So normally, my pleasure or your welcome is the best answer for this kind of expression.

    2. Why not B...
Look, if someone want to say 'thank you' I think it's a bit queer if you reply:
    "Iím glad to hear that"
It does sound a bit chesty to me... Don't you think so?

I don't have a problem with B - it's responding to the first part of the statement, about having a wonderful evening. The "My pleasure" responds to the second part of the statement.

I'm glad to hear that. I had a great night too. And thank YOU for your company! -- would be a very nice response.

Indeed a good point of view...
But unfortunately the answer is just "I'm glad to hear that". If they put I'm glad to hear that. I had a great night too. And thank YOU for your company!. I think I shall agree with your opinion.

Re: It's been a wonderful evening

I quite agree with Eden Darien. "My pleasure" is surely the best answer here. Thank you for your clear explanation.
