This blog is the personal thoughts & opinions of the writers on the state of the Malaysian education system, both private and public, the resulting products of the system as well as the job market in relation to fresh graduates.
In 2006 I wrote An A-Z of ELT – an encyclopedia-dictionary of terminology relating to English language and English language teaching. As soon as it was published (by Macmillan) I was already planning an update. Hence this blog. Here I will regularly post articles relating to existing entries, or with a view to creating new entries, should the A-Z be revised.
I've been a EFL teacher and teacher trainer for over thirty years now and have lived and worked in a variety of European and Asian countries. I'm the author of a number of published courses, and run a small language training business in Italy. This blog is for EFL teachers of all levels of experience. I hope teachers new to ELT will find some useful ideas, and that both they and others will treat it as a forum for sharing opinions and experiences.
I am an ESOL teacher in London and this is my blog where I post different ideas for teaching English. Many of the posts have a focus on using technology in the classroom and I have also added reflections on conferences that I have attended.
