The American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) is the only national organization dedicated to the improvement and expansion of the teaching and learning of all languages at all levels of instruction. ACTFL is an individual membership organization of more than 7,000 foreign language educators and administrators from elementary through graduate education, as well as government and industry.

B.C. TEAL advances the profession of teaching English as an Additional Language in British Columbia through professional development, promotion of standards, advocacy and representation of ESL professionals.

BESIG is a truly professional body representing the interests and serving the needs of the international business English teaching community. BESIG is an organisation for the Business English teaching profession. BESIG's members are mainly teachers of Business English and include both native and non-native speakers of English.

CATESOL promotes professional competence and professional standards in the teaching of English to speakers of other languages, monitors educational policy, and represents the needs of ESL teachers and students to decision-making bodies such as school districts and state legislatures. Strategic Education Services provides CATESOL with legislative advocacy in Sacramento.

Cambodian Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (CamTESOL). CamTESOL was established in February 2004 as a mechanism to organise an annual conference on English Language Teaching (ELT) in Cambodia.

ELTAB-B is a regional professional association and resources group for teachers of English as a foreign language and other English language practitioners in the Berlin-Brandenburg area.

English Language Teachers' Association Stuttgart (ELTAS) was founded in 1989 as a professional association based in Stuttgart, Germany, with the aim of providing a forum for the professional development of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language. Since its inception, ELTAS has grown into a recognized body registered under German law as a nonprofit-making charitable association (gemeinnütziger e.V.).

The English Language Teachers' Association (ELTA)- Rhine is a professional association of English teachers in the Rhineland. Approximately half our members are native speakers of English who teach either freelance or as employees of private language schools. The balance are German nationals teaching in state secondary schools or higher education.
