It can be, but it isn't always- it can be a predicative adjective, too.

The vote seems pretty split, so it would seem to be so. I do think it's more often an adjective than a pronoun. ;-)

It's not the best question to clarify things. I'd suggest 'Is 'mine' only a pronoun?'

For that matter, it's also a normal noun and a verb.

It is more often an adjective, but yes, "mine" is a pronoun. In some ways, it is even a noun. If it is being used in a sentence such as: The man worked in a coal mine. In that case, mine would be a noun.

its a possesive pronoun which is used so that it avoids repeating the same thing :)
