| It is more often an adjective, but yes, "mine" is a pronoun. In some ways, it is even a noun. If it is being used in a sentence such as: The man worked in a coal mine. In that case, mine would be a noun. |

| its a possesive pronoun which is used so that it avoids repeating the same thing :) |
