Woman--without her, man is nothing.

Exactly. That just proves that punctuation does not matter all that much, considering that the first sentence is the right one.

Woman--without her, man is nothing. is some how correct esp if we put it this way:
Woman....,without her; Man is nothing. -->hope u got the hidden meaning !
