It's a AE usage vs BE usage, isn't it? Both are correct, only BE snobs say otherwise.

amazing how supercede is winning the race for correct spelling. People just seem to think that supercede looks right so that's what they go for. The correct spelling however is supersede. Accept it. That's what it is.

although it looks right with a C I learned it was with an S because I began to use the word more often. This is the way to learn.
