There is nothing ambiguous about the sentence...and it has to be I was uneffected because the sntence saysME.

I was unaffected. It's not ambiguous.
'They were unnafected' would be: "They left me, unmoved", meaning "They went away from me; they were unaffected".

And what's the final answer ?? i was unaffected means sth. not important to me, right?...
