| To use 'many times' would suggest that you also need to include a time frame. You'd need to say, 'How many times per year do you go to Dublin?' Or, 'How many times have you been...?' 'Often' is the superior choice. |

| Both are fine as questions (if it is 'how many times have you been' or 'how many times to you go per year'), but based on the answer it must be 'often'. |
