Interactive whiteboards

Interactive whiteboards, heralded as a breakthrough in teaching, have come under fire as possible risks to eyesight. While the claims that TV and computer screens would ruin people's eyesight have largely not been shown to be the case, it is possible that there is a risk here.

However, I can't help feeling that while the BBC, among others, state that people claim interactive whiteboards "will enhance education and be a major plank in the government's drive for new technology in schools", there is a greater risk that the technology will not live up to expectations rather than blinding people.
