    What sentence/expression can be used to describe, what a tour guide does?

    Guide took us to various places and made us view the mountains.

    A guide escorts people and helps them in sightseeing.

    I know the above sentences are incorrect, however I am unable to think of proper sentences/expressions to express this thought.

    Can any British Native speaker explain me the characteristics of Intonation in British English (Tone: rising and falling tone, Stress: Contrastive and new information stress) and how is it different from from American English.

    It was:

    **chris and shan have disappeared.


    But i think i should be::**chris and shan have been disappered.

    Tell me which one is the correct one. According to me second one should be the correct one(chris and shan have been disappeared.)

    But i kept telling u(there is no use of these verbs)??? so m very confused. This is a simple thing, but i cannot understand this.

    Like:;:::::i was telling u, i was reading book, i was watching tv....n so.... there is was/were/is/am/are/..............+ verb+ing...........
