Hi, everyone!

A part of this sentence sounds somewhat unnatural to me: "I think I’ve had way too much of that mead". Maybe I'm mistaken? By this sentence I mean that the guy has drunk too much.

'Way too much' is fine in informal modern English. If this is part of your fantasy novel, then 'far too much' is more appropriate.

There was no need to underline your first and last sentences and you need to remove the apostrophe from "Thanks".
