Hi

I am not a English native speaker,
so, I don't get what "patronizing laugh"mean even I have checked up a dictionary.

I have also checked the YouTube and found a film with title "patronizing laugh", but after watching the baby in the film laugh, I still don't understand what kind of laught is partronzing.

Could anyone help me out?
Thank you in advance

To patronize somebody is to treat him or her as a social inferior. (It has other meanings in other contexts.) So if "X" laughs patronizingly at what someone has said, it is not because "X" thinks what they said is intrinsically funny. "X" thinks it funny that such a lowly person would dare to say such a thing.

Probus's answer is good, but I don't get how a baby can give a patronising laugh.

Can you give a link to the youtube clip?

Babies are funny creatures and you never know what to expect from them so though I have not seen it, I would say the video contains a scene of a baby making grimace of patronising laugh. Simply the little one laughs arrogantly in the camera. :)

I don't believe babies can be patronizing or arrogant.
