I have read about there being two types of action verbs: Physical and mental
Is this somewhat a 'loose' definition?
Only reason i ask is because we talk about how my radio REMEMBERS my favorite stations or the computer is THINKING/CALCULATING.
Now this is not a philosophy question, but it does seem we use these mental verbs in not always a mental application. This has me thinking the term 'mental verb' is somewhat loosely defined and in reality, it is simply more of an abstract action, mainly done by the mind but not necessary limited in it usage.
I know this is how we speak and that is does make sense, but i was just trying to understand the definition behind it. Any clarification would be great. I was only taught there were linking and action verbs, where some action verbs were 'hard to see'. The prior definition seems new and somewhat simplified.
