Re: unpaid wages

Dear Ms. ABC,

I am writing this letter to request unpaid wage to my paycheck that was issued on 06/10/11. This check was covered starting period from 5/26/11 to ending period 6/08/11.
As you remember, Your Company hired me on May 29, 2011 at paid rate $8 an hour and I was working for 11 days (71 hours) during that period. However, I got paid only $158 for 19.75 hours

I have not received a check for $560. I worked those hours between May 29, 2011 and June 8, 2011. I calculate the amount of wages owed to be $402 based on my rate of pay and hours listed above.

On June 10 I requested a check from Ms. ABC but I have not yet received it. I expect a check for the wages I am owed to be given to me as soon as possible.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Sincerely,

Re: unpaid wages

Dear Ms. ABC,

I am writing to point out an underpayment of $410 on my paycheck for $158 issued on 06/10/11. This check covered the period from 5/26/11 to 6/08/11.
As you remember, Your company hired me on May 29, 2011 at $8 an hour and I worked for 11 days (71 hours) during that period. However, I got paid only $158 for 19.75 hours.

I was expecting a check for $568. I worked those hours between May 29, 2011 and June 8, 2011. I calculate the amount of wages owed to be $410 based on my rate of pay and hours listed above.

On June 10 I requested a further check from you but I have not yet received it. Please rectify the underpayment as soon as possible.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Sincerely,

I have changed the figures you mentioned as 71 hours at $8 an hour comes to $568.

If you were paid $158, she appears to owe you $410.

Let us know how you get on with that.
