Dears

When i received email from other company and I want my boss just to see email and some times I need my boss to take action

Is it ok to write to my boss
FYI or FYA or its not formal
If its not formal please what can I use
Instead of FYI & FYA

As a business writer, I would say that FYI is so common that no one I know would consider it informal.

However, FYA is not very common, and you are asking the person to take "action." If you sent me something with just "FYA" I would 1) consider it a command, which is not appropriate for your boss, and 2) have to figure out what my action is.

I do, however, put "Action needed: ABC" as the subject of my e-mail when I need to make it clear they need to take action.

Action needed: Your review/comments/approval of attached quarterly newsletter

Attached is the final draft of the newsletter. I've confirmed the accuracy with the project managers of the projects mentioned and Jim has approved his quote. Please review and let me know if you have any comments or if it's okay to send as-is. Thanks.

I admit this is not very formal, but that's how we communicate in the US.
