Hi! I would like to know the sentence pattern of this sentence: I'm calling because I'd like to have a small reception catered this Friday afternoon.

My thoughts were: have as the VERB / small reception as the DO

How can i define CATERED in the sentence?

Thanks!

Hello, julesalvanette.:-D

I think 'catered' in your sentence is a past participle of 'cater', which functions as an 'object complement'.
It describes the object '(a small) reception'.

I hope I can be of some help to you.
