It is known that such semantic phenomena as polysemy, homonymy, synonyms, antonyms are undesirable in terminology in various industries. However, they are inevitable, because any terminological, for that matter, and language in general, is in constant development: some of the LI can be borrowed parallely with the existence of the original, others form new LSV in the process of expanding value zahalnoliteraturnoyi LI. All these phenomena peculiar to English , each of which requires a separate solution of theoretical lexicography.
In English, AT group are the following synonyms:
1) synonymous compliance "word - the word»: aggregate = assembly = outfit = pack (age) = set = unit; accumulator = battery; fan = blower;
2) synonymous compliance "word - phrase»: coach 1. = transit bus; autocrane = truck crane; highway = motor road;
3) compliance synonymous "phrase - a phrase»: radar detector = speed trap detector; air admission = air delivery = air intake; distributor shaft = timing shaft;
4) compliance synonymous "full form of the term - short form term»: ampere = A; gross combination weight = GCW.

Where does the starting claim come from? Industries do tend not to use too many synonyms, for instance, but as things are in a constant state of flux, terms change.
