Hi,
Where shall I use the expression "I am pleased to inform you that..."
Should it be a very good news for the person I am talking/writing to or can it be a good thing happened to me myself?
I can explain if its not clear....
Thanks

It's a way of announcing good news- it doesn't have to mean that something good is to happen directly to the person you are writing or speaking to, but simply that they will feel positive about the news.
