Hello.
I am working on some sentence as below but not sure about the tense to be taken for the second part(=it had been increasing.. )
-----
The patient experienced a pain in her jaw and it had been increasing in the past week.
-----
I want to mean;
1. First she experienced a pain in her jaw.
2. Then, after an unknown period of time, the pain started to increase, which was a week before she reported this.
I need to start the writing with "The patient experienced a pain in her jaw" and it has to be as simple as the I wrote the above.
It would be helpful if I could get any suggestions for this.
Thanks!
