1. After eating, blood sugar levels arise. Incorrect. Blood sugar levels rise. "Arise" means to stand up from a sitting/kneeling/squatting position.
2. Before eating a banana you have to remove the skin. Correct. (Also "take off").
3. My gran has false teeth. Correct.
4. Runners usually have lean bodies OR athletic[STRIKE]s[/STRIKE] bodies. Correct use of "lean" but you need to pluralise bodies. We don't add a plural "s" to adjectives so it's "athletic".
5. Harmful bacteria are the most common cause of food-borne disease. Correct.
6. A 74 year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Correct.
7. He's at hospital recovering from [STRIKE]a[/STRIKE] surgery on his leg. Actually, both the choices were correct, but you only use the indefinite article for "an operation". If you use "surgery" then it's simply "recovering from surgery".
8. He broke his arm and now has it in plaster. Correct.
9. Scientists haven't discovered a treatment for a common cold. Incorrect. There are many treatments for the common cold, all of which make the sufferer feel a little better but, so far, there is no cure.
10. A bone fracture is a break in a bone. Correct.
11. The children's ward at the hospital is being renovated. Correct.
12. There are a lot of remedies to help you if you are in pain. Correct, but treatments and medicines also work.
13. My ankle is swollen and it hurts when I walk. Correct.

See above.

Rise is correct. It is the intransitive verb. '...levels go up.'

Raise is the transitive verb. 'In the high jump we raise (lift up) the bar.'
