This is something happened to me, so I tried to convert it into words. Please point out grammatical mistakes.
She asked me over the phone, "How many girlfriends do you have?"
"Three," I said thoughtlessly.
She was impressed and probably thought that I was devastatingly handsome to have three girlfriends. From that day onwards, she was after me and kept in touch with me by various means. She was obsessed with the unseen beauty she had imagined for me. After much waiting, one evening she popped the question. I accepted her proposal of marriage straight away because I, in fact, had no girlfriend, let alone three. Hence she became my first girlfriend ever.
