I was surprised to see...... at the concert.

1. those number of people
2. that amount of people
3. that number of people
4. those amount of people

I know that we should use uncountable nouns after " amount of sth". However, why we can't use those before that? (Answer key: No.2)

The purist would say that only #3 is correct. You can't have an amount of people.

I do think you should tear up that collection of test questions, Freeguy. It's appalling.
