Exemple

My dad would never have imagined his father's experience would guide him through the darkest day of his life.


Meaning 1

he wanted to imagine, but he couldnt .

If he imagined the result will be better.

Note that we do not put a space before a full stop, comma, question mark or exclamation mark.
