[General] falter/enjoin/panacea/embrace/cut off

Dear teachers,

Would you be kind enough to tell me whether I am right with my interpretation of the expressions in bold in the following sentences?

Christ's parable teaches usthat we are to continue to pray and not falter or become dejected if our prayers do not seem to be answered right away.

And here he faltered forth his last farewell.

falter = to utter with hesitation, or in a broken, trembling, or weak manner

He faltered in his determination.

falter = hesitate

He faltered across the room.

The old man faltered a few steps and fell.

The old car faltered down the road.

falter = to move ineptly or haltingly

He faltered out an excuse.

He faltered and delayed before saying "yes" or "no".

I wouldn't falter to tell him.

falter = to speak hesitatingly; stammer

I am enjoined by oath to observe three things.

I enjoined that they should be silent.

Enjoin what is good and forbid what is wrong.

enjoin = to lay upon, as an order or command; to give an injunction to; to direct with authority; to order; to charge

This is a suit to enjoin the defendants from disturbing the plaintiffs.

We must to enjoin them from infringing a right.

enjoin = to prohibit or restrain by a judicial order or decree; to put an injunction on

Membership of the EC is not a panacea for Britain's economic problems.

panacea = hypothetical remedy for all ills or diseases, evils, or difficulties; a cure-all; once sought by the alchemists

Doctors warn of alcohol overdose as people embrace new year spirits.

embrace = to fasten on

Belorus denies reports transit of Russian crude oil was cut off.

Belarus denied on Monday reports that Russia had cut oil supplies from January 1.

cut off = stop suddenly, discontinue

And here he faltered forth his last farewell being unable to express his gratitude..

falter = to utter with hesitation, or in a broken, trembling, or weak manner

He faltered out an excuse for loosing both the matches..

He faltered and delayed before saying "yes" or "no".

I wouldn't falter to tell him the truth.
