Dear all,

What is the meaning of the expression "nut in your mouth" in the following context?

A: We need two almonds and one cashews.

Man: I see your picture on Internet.

A: You (or "we" not audible) love nuts. In our mouths.

The man gave them the nuts

B: Thank you. Oh, my God, these are hot.

(To A: I want a nut in your mouth. I want a nut...)

A: Bye. Thank you.

B: Who likes nuts in their mouth?

A: We do, we do.

Is it a famous idiom or something?

Thanks a lot

Just adding that the entire conversation makes no sense to me at all, either.

I don't detect anything sexual. Although "nut" can be a euphemism for testicle, it doesn't seem to be so in this random series of utterances.

Warning! Sexual content follows! :shocked!:

It sounds like an example of Internet (or telephone) sex chat. The discussion about "nuts" is a double entendre. The girls are talking about actual legumes, since they're eating cashews and almonds, but they know that they're teasing the man, acting innocent yet encouraging him ("Oooh, these are hot!"). The man might be talking about his testicles when he says "I want a nut in your mouth," or he could be referring to a crude slang term for ejaculation and saying "I wanna nut in your mouth."

Thank you, Ouisch. What a lot we have to learn about our own language! It's no wonder students despair at times.

You clearly move in different circles to bhaisahab and me.

Now it made sense. I could NEVER knew that on my own.

Can't really thank you enough.

Also, thanks for the links. I'll refer to it whenever necessary.

Ouisch gave a very courageous answer and, I belive, correct perspective.

It is good that students feel comfortable enough here to get real answers to their questions.

Thanks for, ahem, some of the compliments. Since American movies and TV shows are now readily available worldwide thanks to DVDs and the Internet, I believe it is important to help ESL students out with any slang phrases they might encounter, mainly because if a particular phrase has a meaning that is not suitable for the dinner table or polite company, they should be aware of it. Sometimes that means explaining very adult-oriented subjects, some of which even make me blush.

As far as being "experienced," please note that I am a writer and a researcher by profession. In order to make the dialog in certain stories sound authentic, I have to keep up-to-date with the latest slang expressions and pop culture references. So I read and surf the 'Net. A lot. :)
