I thought it would be on Sunday.

I thought it was on Sunday.

I thought it is on Sunday.

Which one is natural and is there a meaning difference between them? Thank you so much as always and have a good and safe day.

How about this?

A : Christmas is on Sunday next year.

B: Really? I thought it would be / was / is on Saturday.

In that context, I would use "was".
