"get ready" and "get set"

Hello,what different about "get ready" and "get set". is it the same meaning? thanks much!

Almost the same with refernce to purpose. These terms act as interjections and used in calling the start of a race.
Get! Ready!= be in a state of readiness or preparedness(to start/go)
Get! Set! = Take your position (to start/go)
The usual call is:
Get! Ready! Go!
or
Get! Set! Go!
