Is this homework? (#2 doesn't make much sense).

Why do you want them paraphrased? They seem fine to me, except that 'maybe' in #3 should be two words.

I would rewrite number 3 in the following way:

3. Research suggests that laughter maybe a buffer against heart attacks.

I have underlined the two changes that I would make.

I have a blog that gives tips on spelling, grammar and writing so check it out if you want to improve further.
