Can anyone tell me how to use "fruit" and "fruits" as countable and uncountable nouns? When do we use "fruit" and "fruits"? Could you please clarify it by some examples?

The word is generally uncountable:

I don't eat much fruit, but I do eat a lot of vegetables.

It can be countable when it means 'types of fruit', and it normally is when it means 'the good results':

Marmalade is made from citrus fruit(s).
I am now enjoying in my retirement the fruits of years of hard work
