Hello everybody,

Quick question, I need to put a title in my Resume. I was wondering if the following is correct?

MSc. graduate with a 2.5 years’ experience in Financial Services (in commercial then analytical roles) seeking a Junior position in Marketing

or should I remove the "a" before 2.5 years'..?
Is it different depending on the type English you speak (US vs GB)?
If yes, don't hesitate to let me know, I need both versions.

In BrE, we wouldn't put 'a' there.

I expect AmE speakers to say the same.

Are "analytical roles" and "commercial" positions equally important? If so, I'd suggest "and" instead of "then." But if you moved up from commercial roles to more demanding analytical roles, then the way you have it now is good.

I'm an American English speaker and I agree with Rover_KE on the "a," no need for an article there.

Hope this helps,

Dena

That is a LOT to try to squeeze into one title. I'd omit the part in the parentheses. And don't capitalize "junior."
