[Grammar] My uncle, whose wife is Canadian, runs a Korean restaurant in Toronto.

1.My uncle, whose wife is Canadian, runs a Korean restaurant in Toronto.

2. My uncle whose wife is Canadian runs a Korean restaurant in Toronto.

My grammar book says sentence 1 is incorrect and I wonder why.

And what about sentence 2? Is it correct?

The first is correct if you have only one uncle. The second is posssible if you have more than one uncle, and only one of them has a Canadian wife.

[Grammar] My uncle, whose wife is Canadian, runs a Korean restaurant in Toronto.
