Hi,

I want to say a sentence like this:
Making it happen is better than waiting for it to happen.

But I'd like to say this in another way, that is:

Waiting for it to happen______making it happen.

So, what words can I use in the place of the underline? Or, how should I say this sentence in this way?

Thanks.

1) Please start every sentence with a capital letter.
2) "Wanna" is not an English word.
3) The word "I" is always capitalised.

Please amend your post taking the above into consideration and repost your question. It's good to get into the habit of getting the absolute basics of written English right, especially if you're going to post on here a lot.

Thanks emsr2d2 for pointing out my mistakes. I made a correction. Only the title I cannot edit. I will take your opinion into account the next time I post.

Hope someone can help me with this question.

Thanks.

You need the antonym for "better", which is "worse". If Y is better than X, it logically follows that X is worse than Y.

Thanks for your reply, and I understand what you mean. But I'm not looking for a word that can replace the word "better". What I want is a more common expression.

For example:
Waiting for it to happen is not as good as making it happen.

I guess there are more commonly used expression.
