This rule is taken from the book ''English Pronunciation in Use'' by [/FONT]Mark Hancock. Could you please write examples in the places where I pu question marks?[FONT="]
/kɑː /[/FONT] = in Br and[FONT="]/kɑː r/[/FONT]in US. In Br, 'r' is pronounced onlywhen it is followed by a vowel, (?) while in US it is also pronouncedbefore consonants (?) and at the end of a word (teacher).
