Vague meanings

Hi teachers
I am trying to translate an English film. But the problem is the meaning of some statements in the text which are simple-words written but I couldn't figure out the meaning.
Would anyone help me with them ? please.
The vague sentences are written in bold and red-colored.

" Of course. isn't all mankind in the same boat?"

" Isn't all mankind ultimately executed for a crime it never committed?"

The difference is that all men go eventually

" but I go six o'clock tomorrow morning."

" I was supposed to go at five o'clock but I have a smart lawyer."

Got leniency.

My questions
What does the writer mean by :

The difference is that all men go eventually

and
what do you think " Got leniency " means in this text ?

Got leniency - meaning not to be so strict as far as rules that one needs to obey are concerned.
The difference is that all men go eventually - I',m not sure, I can only suppose.

I guess this is about a convicted criminal who is about to hang for his crimes.

" Of course. isn't all mankind in the same boat?"

" Isn't all mankind ultimately executed for a crime it never committed?"

The difference is that all men go eventually
All men die. Perhaps the context makes clear why this is referred to as "a difference". Perhaps it means that "all men" die when their time is up. They aren't executed, like this person will be.

" but I go six o'clock tomorrow morning."
"But I'm due to hang at 6am tomorrow."

" I was supposed to go at five o'clock but I have a smart lawyer."
This is a joke. His lawyer was so clever, he was able to negotiate an extra hour of existence for the criminal.

I Got leniency.
The penal system was lenient with him. They allowed him to live until 6am rather than hanging him at 5am. (Again, it's a joke).

Good morning, Herbiji.

(1) First, congratulations on having such an interesting job!!!

(2) I haven't seen the film, so I can only guess from what

you have told us.

(3) My interpretation may be 100% wrong, but here goes:

(a) It seems that this guy is going to be executed for some crime.

(b) He says the government wanted to execute him at 5 o'clock,

but his "smart" lawyer was able to get the government to execute

him one hour later!!! I think the guy is being sarcastic about his

lawyer. Obviously, his lawyer isn't good enough to get the execution

stopped -- only delayed for 60 minutes!!!


(4) His friend tries to make the condemned man feel better by saying:

Well, in the end, all human beings are executed for crimes that they

never committed. That is, we all die -- even if we didn't do anything to

deserve death.

(5) The man answers: Yes, that's true. But I die at 6 o'clock

tomorrow morning. All human beings, of course, eventually die,

but at least they do not know when it is going to happen.

Thanks for every participant shared his/her point of view. Everything is clear for me now.

I watched the film but I didn't finish it. I think that's why I couldn't figure out these statements since the beginning of the film is a flash back scene.
