Sale! Sale! Sale! This was the keyword on most signboards in the shopping malls and major departmental store.

"Sale!" "Sale!" "Sale!" This was the keyword on most signboards in the shopping malls and major department store.

Are quote marks needed for "Sale"? And is it "department store" or "departmental store'?

Thanks.

In that sentence, I would not use the quotation marks around "sale". It is "department store". And I would make "keyword" into two words.

Thanks, Mike. But 'keyword' isn't wrong, is it?

Thanks, Mike. But 'keyword' isn't wrong, is it?

It is spelled both ways, but for me, a "keyword" is used with codes and searches. A "key word" is a word that is important. Others may differ in their usage.
