My apology for inconvenience caused due to unintentional action.

Is the above sentence Ok in the following context:

I have not responded to emails as I was busy in some other tasks. I got an email saying that you didn't respond and we are in very tough deadlines. In this situation can I respond as above or is there any other better way to write?

Your sentence really doesn't say anything. The first sentence in your explanation gives more information.

The original lacks a finite verb, so is not a sentence.

Can you break this down and help me understand because I heard the same sentence "my apologies for the inconvenience caused by xxx" .I always thought cause was the verb in the sentence.

I can not understand "To be in a tough deadline" in this context.

[I would like to offer] my apologies for the/any inconvenience [which/that was] caused by xxx.
:)

I hope it helps.

But don't say "by my unintentional act."

Just say "I'm sorry for the delay in my response." And then move on to the thing they need from you.

I think 'caused' is adjectival here, but I am not a teacher.
