• The vast sea of trees deepens the farther I go
• Eternal sleep pulls at me relentlessly (personification)
• Gracious beauty or darkest despair awaits

• The cool touch of death warms my heart (personification)

Welcome to the forum, EnderGalaxyGirl.

Please note my amendments to your capitalisation and punctuation.

Like Tarheel, I want to know if you wrote those examples yourself, or if they're part of a school assignment. If the latter, we don't help with students' homework until their teachers have seen their answers first.

Well, it looks like a school assignment regardless.

Teacher: Class, I want each of you to come up with examples of personification, similes, and metaphors.

Teacher (later): No, Johnny, that's not a metaphor.

;-)
