I was taking an online test. There was a clock at the top right corner of the screen. I had two hours to complete the test. The clock was ticking (on the screen). Time was getting reduced. There were only five minutes left when I finished my test.

Okay, so we can say "Remaining time was getting reduced". Am I correct?

Can I say "The time was running"?

Sentence 1 is not natural. You might be getting hungry as the morning progresses, but time can't get reduced. You probably want the idiom My time was running out.

Sentence 2 isn't meaningful.

Perhaps:

There was a clock on the screen keeping track of the time remaining.
